FileMaker Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Inc., is looking for an Inside Sales Representative based in Santa Clara, CA. - Achieve quarterly revenue targets through inbound / outbound telephone sales - Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest - Consistently hit daily call metrics - Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships - Manage a sales pipeline and maintain the customer license database - Execute renewals of expiring maintenance and annual license agreements - Up-selling and cross-selling within the install base to generate new license opportunities - Net new license sales to prospective clients

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience working with or similar CRM preferred but not required
  • Exceptional track record of quota and goal achievement
  • 2+ years sales experience – Preferred to be high-tech sales but not required


High volume and velocity of transactions Very consistent lead flow with limited “cold-calling” Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities. Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments. Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services. Develops new opportunities by preparing quotes; conferring with solution consultants. Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts. Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Education & Experience

BA/BS degree or equivalent
